    For some reason, the dropdown menu, appears behind text and the user cannot select items.

    Not sure if it’s because of latest WordPress update. I tried using CSS to figure it out but couldn’t find a solution.

    Any help please?

    It is your theme and they way you have constructed the page. This is a screenshot of the page in the inspector:

    The blue highlighted HTML is the container for the search form. Both it and the next container (both with the same class of x-container) have a z-index of 1;

    You need to add CSS so that the first container has a higher z-index, without applying that to the next container. This will then mean the first container sits over the second and so the dropdowns will show OK.
