i am using ACF to create a custom field for dates, i have created 2 custom date field (“start date” and “end date”)
i want users to be able to filter all post by “start date” (my custom field created with ACF)
i already published several posts with different dates yet when i try to filter my search by my custom date field i always get 0 results.
A. i have made sure to set the date format to be the same in ACF and in “Search and filter pro”
B. i have made sure i have published posts with the “start date” i am searching for.
——- why cant i filter posts but my custom date field? (i always get 0 results) ——
here are the full steps i have taken:
1. i have created a date picker custom field with ACF.
2. i have created several post and added to them a value for the “start date” field created with ACF.
3. with “Search and filter” pro i have created a new “search form ui”
4. i have added the relevant short code to my page and i do see the serach form and the results.
4. i have added to the “search form ui” a “post meta” field.
5. i have chosen my custom field (“start date”) in the “Start Meta Key” field inside the “date” tab
6. in “Search and filter pro” i have chosen to display my results using short-code
7. when i enter the page by default i see all posts (as i didn’t added anything to my search filter)
8. i chose a “start date” that i know is included in one of my posts.
9. i never see any results, the search query return with 0 results even tho i have several posts with the same value for the custom “start date” field.
